Becktech launches FilterMinder - an online database to enable operators to get the maximum return on their investment in BRITA® filter technology.
FilterMinder is a database driven solution that tracks individual filter exchange dates based on estimated water usage and the actual local water hardness conditions.
The system generates timely reminders of units coming up for exchange allowing operators to place orders and schedule work when it's most convenient.

Aquatec Water Systems Inc, the US based manufacturer of diaphragm pumps, appoints Becktech as its Master Distributor for the UK, Benelux and Scandinavia, following over 4 years of successful partnership in the UK.

Becktech has teamed up with Aquatec to offer a range of replacement pumps for water fed pole reach window cleaning systems. The service is designed to suit busy operators, with over the phone ordering and payment facility. The range includes on-demand pumps for single or multi-pole use, transfer pumps for filling mobile tanks and booster pumps to feed reverse osmosis systems. Lester Young joins Becktech as Business Development Manager to meet the growing needs of the vending operator market. Lester brings with him years of experience of water treatment and filtration, and so is ideally placed to give customers expert advice about the range of BRITA water filters available from Becktech.

Componenti launches an adjustable cup ring, capable of dispensing 80mm to 100mm cups. This generated much interest when it debuted in the award winning Gerhardt machine at Eu’Vend in 2007 because for the first time it offers vending an opportunity to deliver 12oz drink, competing directly with the retail coffee outlets.
Componenti are following this up with a fixed 80mm cup ring which will soon be integrated with the 4-peeler 672 range cup mech. A number of other developments are underway which Becktech hope to present in the spring, including a new espresso brewer and a quick-change peristaltic pump.

Componenti launch two new products. The first is a range of peristaltic pumps designed to deliver accurate and constant volumes of a vast range of liquids. They are compact, modular and have the fundamental characteristic of separating pumped liquids from all mechanical elements of the pump. The second is a range of coffee grinders designed to meet the demanding requirements of bean-to-cup coffee drinks in fully automated vending machines.

Componenti buys Plastimat, a specialist injection moulding company formed in 1969. This formalises a strong and lasting interdependence between the two companies and will mean increased flexibility and responsiveness in the market. New tooling is now available from Plastimat and its partner in China at very competitive rates.

Becktech moves to new purpose built premises in Terminus Road, Chichester, West Sussex giving us 16,000 square feet of office and storage space.
